Problem
Most JEE preparation apps try to cover multiple exams, making JEE just a small part of a larger system. This leads to scattered preparation, unclear direction, and unnecessary anxiety. JEE aspirants don’t lack content — they lack clarity.
They need a focused roadmap that clearly shows where to start, where they stand, and what to do next.

RESEARCH
Prototype testing with JEE aspirants
I tested the interactive Figma prototype with JEE aspirants to understand whether the app clearly communicated progress, reduced confusion, and helped students know what to do next.
Most students immediately understood where they stood in their preparation without additional explanation
Students correctly interpreted progress indicators and subject-wise performance at a glance
Progress dashboard and subject analysis were consistently identified as the most valuable features

Subject
performance dashboard
A detailed subject-level performance dashboard was designed to give students full visibility into accuracy, strengths, completed chapters, and mistakes—removing guesswork from preparation.
Chapter
wise quiz structure
Chapter-wise quiz breakdown was introduced to simplify decision-making and help students focus on specific syllabus areas instead of navigating random question sets.
Clear
progress-based leaderboard
The leaderboard was refined to rank students based on XP earned through consistent practice, helping them understand relative progress without creating exam anxiety.
End-to-End Design Ownership
Responsible for complete UX strategy and execution across research, structure, and final design decisions

What I would do differently
If given more time and resources, I would explore integrating an AI-based assistant to help students get instant guidance based on their performance data.
Lessons
This project reinforced that usability and accessibility matter more than visual polish. Clear structure, readable layouts, and calm interfaces create more impact than decorative design.
Tradeoffs
Balancing detailed analytics with cognitive simplicity was a key tradeoff. I consciously chose clarity over showing excessive data to avoid overwhelming students during long study sessions.
